Project description
Project Overview
This project involved the professional installation of an acoustic suspended ceiling at Salone Square Bar, LSQ IMATT, British High Commission, Freetown. The works were carried out to improve the internal appearance, sound control, comfort, and overall finish of the bar area.
Ceiling Grid Installation
The installation included careful setting out of the ceiling levels, fixing of perimeter trims, and installation of the suspended metal grid framework. The main tees and cross tees were properly aligned, levelled, and securely supported from the existing roof structure to ensure a strong and neat ceiling layout.
Acoustic Ceiling Panel Installation
Acoustic ceiling panels were installed into the completed grid system in a systematic and professional manner. The panels were carefully positioned to provide a clean finish while allowing access for services such as air-conditioning units, lighting, electrical wiring, and other ceiling-mounted fittings.
Health and Safety Compliance
The work was undertaken by trained personnel using appropriate tools, access equipment, and personal protective equipment. Safe working practices were followed during work at height, handling of ceiling materials, and installation around existing building services.
Professional Execution
The project was professionally delivered through site inspection, accurate measurement, proper setting out, secure fixing, alignment checks, and final inspection. The completed works improved the appearance of the space, enhanced acoustic comfort, and provided a clean, functional, and well-finished ceiling system for the facility.
